A Personal Message From Daryl:

"Someday" Book & Music Reviews

Regarding the manuscript: "… it is an incredibly inspiring and thought-provoking work. Your ability to weave together spiritual and philosophical ideas with personal reflections is truly remarkable, and we believe readers of all backgrounds will find something meaningful in your words.

The theme of evolution, of creation, constantly unfolding and expanding, is one that resonates deeply throughout the book. Your writing evokes a sense of wonder and awe at the vastness and complexity of the universe, and it is clear that you have a deep reverence for the natural world and its rhythms.

We particularly appreciated the way you approached spirituality and religion in your essays. Your words are inclusive and welcoming, recognizing that each person's journey is unique and valid. You offer guidance and support without prescribing a specific path or doctrine, allowing readers to find their own way.”

“Someday” by Daryl L. Meyers - Review by Bob Grand:

"I recently read Daryl F. Meyers' book “Someday.” In today’s world of conflict and confusion, it was a very pleasant and inspiring read. It is a collection of over seventy short essays and almost three hundred and fifty shorts mostly ore liners, titled Reflections.” Both of these represent a collection of positive, inspiring messages of hope, understanding, and encouragement, a pleasant shift from the ugliness and negativity we are constantly bombarded with today from so many sides.

It represents a collection of observations and insights through Daryl’s eighty-plus years of life experiences. Offered not as a dogmatic path to be followed but as observations from a life well lived for those things to be considered in choosing the path to follow in your life. Unfortunately, too many of us do not take the time to focus on the important core values during our lives and only begin to focus as we enter the twilight of our years.

The essays and reflections are all short reads, but beware they provoke a lot of thought and consideration. Some of the most thought-provoking were “ The Child Within, What Time is it? The Journey and Happiness is? We should not be restricted in our pursuit of the answers to what is a good life. We should recognize that this is a journey we all take throughout our lives, each individually tailored as no one path fits all. Sharing core values with our young generation is always a challenge as they seem so smart when younger and how us older folks just do not understand today’s world. Well, the reverse is really the case, and that is just the way life has always been.

In either case, I recommend this as a great read and resource. It will make you think. I thank Daryl for sharing his work with us. It is a remarkable gift."

"I so appreciated reading this book. Once you start, it is hard to put down. The essays provide an array of information for daily living and are so encouraging. As I was going through a very grievous time, these essays really spoke to me personally, but in the end, the essays also put things into perspective. There are not many books like this one in the marketplace. I hope there are more to come!!  ... Some of the essays are going to be meaningful to whomever reads the book. It can reach a wide audience."

“Wonderful, heart-warming, vocal perfection--your voice still moves me! Only God could provide that voice at your/our age. Daryl, you are ageless and I encourage you to do more music as your legacy and as encouragement for us to keep hanging on!”

“I loved the rainbow color and how you color-coordinated the various sections. Truly a book that is appealing to the senses!... What I have read is very true and indeed comes from a chaplain’s experience. I resonated with what I read. Your warning not to theologize is understood, but I seldom do that after working as a chaplain, unless I am specifically addressing theology. …I am a loyal, 7th-generation SDA, but I am also aware of theology’s limitations, particularly in reaching hurting hearts. A different approach is needed, and you have done that in your fine book."

“I remember the day I encouraged you to use your wisdom and words for the articles you wrote for the Brighton Blade.  Who could have foretold they would one day bring forth a beautiful book of encouragement?  I love the cover art --- and I will certainly be reading from it often.    These days we need to offer such hope and encouragement to others, and your reflections offer such hope!”
